One of the most difficult, and most common, sounds in English is the “IR” sound. This can cause a lot of problems for foreign speakers, especially when the sound is in the very common English words.
To pronounce this sound make a circle with your lips and stick them out a little bit. Your teeth should be separated and you should be using your vocal chords. If it helps you can even stick out your chin. Try and say it, “Girl”. To make the final “L” sound your tongue should touch the back of your teeth. If you can’t get it at first, that’s okay!
