This video is all about hearing the difference between B and P. Gabby goes over some very

helpful tips on how to clear up any confusion.

When saying “B” you utilize your vocal chords and you should feel them vibrating in your neck.

Your lips come together and you release a sound when your mouth comes open.

“P” is different because there is no sound. You bring your lips together and let out a small burst

of air.

A few words that have “P” are:

People

Please

One way to practice the “P” sound is by holding your hand or a piece of paper in front of your

mouth. If you’re pronouncing it correctly you should feel air against your skin or see the paper

move.

A few words that have “B”

Bus

Because

Bye

Before

Remember; “B” has voice and “P” has air!
