Holidays are important markers of tradition in any culture. Do you want to know more about American holidays? In this conversational lesson, we share our opinions in English about our favorite American holidays.

The Holidays are specifically a time of the year from Thanksgiving to New Years, including Christmas. In North America, this is a period of time at the end of the year from the 4th Thursday in November until January 1 when we celebrate traditions, family and friends. Business slows down as the weather gets colder and we prepare for the new year.

Remember when someone says “the” Holidays, they are specifically referring to this special time of year!
